CRAFTSMAN Quick-Change Utility Knife — 2-Pack
Product description
This pair of utility knives includes two complete cutters, each with a quick-release button for rapid blade swaps and a retractable blade for safe storage. Each handle houses an internal compartment for spare blades so you can replace a dull edge quickly without hunting for extras.
The knives feature a three-position depth selector so you can expose the blade to the length needed for the task, plus an interlocking nose design to hold the blade firmly during use. They were assembled in the USA using components sourced from multiple countries, and are intended for general-purpose cutting, parcel opening, trimming and other workshop or household jobs.
Pros
- Fast, tool-free blade changes
- Onboard blade storage in the handle
- Three-position depth control for versatility
Cons
- Some units reported sticky or stiff slide action
- Packaging/labeling about origin can be inconsistent
- Plastic parts may wear with heavy daily use
VerdictHandy, no-fuss utility knives that speed blade swaps and keep spares inside the handle. They offer adjustable cutting depth and a locking nose for safety. Most users find them durable and convenient, though a small number report issues with the slide mechanism and mixed origin labeling.

Sturdy feel and good grip
Really solid in hand, blade locks securely and there’s a slot in the handle for extra blades so losing one isn’t a problem.

Origin labeling was confusing
Product info claimed assembled in the USA with global parts, but the package listed Vietnam. I returned them over the discrepancy.

Well-made pair
Heavy-duty construction. I fitted a hooked blade to one and a straight blade to the other for different jobs.

Slide gets tight after light use
Was hopeful because of the warranty, but after a couple weeks the blade slider became stiff and hard to operate, which was frustrating.
