16-Inch Open-Top Tool Tote — 29-Pocket Pro Work Bag

Product description

Built for regular jobsite use, this 16-inch open-top tool tote is constructed from heavy-duty 1680D polyester fabric and includes an internal rigid polyethylene (PE) panel to maintain shape under load. The reinforced base and riveted major seams help the bag resist wear and carry bulky items without collapsing.

The main compartment measures approximately 16" long by 8" wide by 11" high and is open for quick access to power tools like a drill and impact driver, hand tools, fasteners and other frequently used gear. Inside you'll find a high-visibility orange lining so small parts stand out, plus a total of 29 internal and external pockets arranged for fast retrieval.

Around the exterior there are seven loops for hanging larger items or securing tools, and the exterior pockets are sized for screwdrivers, pliers and similarly shaped items. A robust steel handle with a thick, soft foam wrap provides a comfortable hand carry, and the included adjustable, padded shoulder strap lets you go hands-free on longer walks or when carrying heavier loads.

This tote is offered as part of a three-size pro-grade range: a 12-inch compact organizer for tight spaces and service calls, the 16-inch all-round model described here for daily use, and an 18-inch contractor size for maximum capacity. The tote ships ready to use and folds flat for storage when not loaded.

Pros

  • Durable 1680D polyester with internal PE panel
  • High-visibility orange lining and 29 pockets for organization
  • Sturdy steel handle with foam grip and padded shoulder strap

Cons

  • Open-top design offers less weather protection
  • Exterior pockets may be shallow for some items
  • Larger loads require careful packing for balance

VerdictThis 16-inch open-top tote is a versatile, rugged option for tradespeople and hobbyists who need quick access to tools. The tough 1680D polyester and internal PE panel give structure and tear resistance, while the bright orange lining and 29 pockets keep items visible and organized. Carry options include a reinforced steel handle with a cushioned grip and a detachable padded shoulder strap for hea

    Right Size and Well Made

Needed something bigger for hand tools and a drill. This fits the bill without being overly large and is well constructed.

Bought Two — Solid and Rigid

I purchased two — one for home and one for the shop. They arrive flat but pop open once the internal PE panels are positioned and velcroed. Plenty of pockets, reinforced seams and a very sturdy handle. The light interior makes finding small parts easy. Well made and highly functional.

    Recommend with Small Corner Concern

Feels good and pockets are useful; grip is comfortable. My only concern is the corner area where the handle tube is attached seems a bit weak, but overall it met my expectations for the price.
