Crankbrothers M10 Gold Compact Bike Multi-Tool
Product description
Tools included: seven hex keys (2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8), Phillips #2 screwdriver, flat #2 screwdriver and a Torx T25 driver.
Construction and ergonomics: Components are manufactured from high-tensile steel and finished for accurate engagement with fasteners. The housings include molded side grips to give a secure hold, even when wearing gloves, and the overall assembly aims for precise fit and lasting durability. The maker backs the tool with a lifetime warranty.
Size and use: The unit measures 89 mm when closed and weighs approximately 150 g, offering a slim profile that slides into a saddlebag, jersey pocket or pack without taking much room. It’s intended as a trailside companion for routine tightening and adjustments rather than a replacement for dedicated chain tools or spoke wrenches.
Pros
- Durable high-tensile steel construction
- Compact 89 mm length, lightweight ~150 g
- Ergonomic side grips for gloved handling
Cons
- No chain breaker or spoke wrench included
- No utility blade
- Some users may prefer ball-end hex keys
VerdictA well-made, straightforward bicycle multi-tool that balances strength and portability. It delivers the core hex sizes plus Phillips, flat and a Torx bit in a slim 89 mm package that fits seat packs and jersey pockets. Construction is robust and grip surfaces aid in gloved use. Not a do-everything tool — it lacks a chain breaker and spoke wrench — but it’s an excellent, durable choice for riders w

Great EDC piece, with minor finish issues
Added this to my everyday carry and it’s performed well—compact, light and functional. The #2 Phillips works fine and it opens smoothly. My only gripe is some roughness on the smaller hex key ends which could be an issue under heavy torque, so I rate it four stars.

Well thought-out and practical
Nicely engineered and easy to pack for trips. Each bit is well finished so it engages fasteners securely and tool lengths make loosening stubborn bolts straightforward.

Great value when discounted
You can’t go wrong with this tool. It’s pocket-sized, well made and covers the typical needs. Fits comfortably in a jersey pocket or saddlebag and isn’t bulky.

Quality feels obvious
Small and lightweight but you can tell it’s well made. Thankfully I haven’t had to rely on it much, but I trust it will perform when needed.

Versatile and sturdy for roadside fixes
Useful for most on-the-road repairs. The size is handy and the construction feels robust. Hinges stay tight and none of the bits have bent in normal use. It’s not ultralight, but it’s not overly heavy either.

Longer bits reach recessed screws
Bits are longer than many multi-tools, handy for reaching recessed or hard-to-access fasteners like some front derailleur adjustment screws.

Solid, functional choice for MTB and commuting
I keep a few multi-tools but this one is especially solid. It offers the right length for leverage, is well made and fairly light. I use it on mountain rides and commuting rides — plus it just looks good in gold.

Excellent fit on a variety of rides
Slightly heavier than advertised at about 154 g for mine, but that’s negligible. Made in Taiwan. The tool engages hardware cleanly on all my bikes and I prefer it to other compact multi-tools I’ve used. I do wish the hexes had ball ends, but the grips and leverage are very good. I’ve bought extras as gifts for local riders.

Perfect compact upgrade for my seat pack
I replaced my rusty loose hex keys with this compact multi-tool and it’s just what I wanted. It’s small but offers the right range of tools and fits easily into my medium seat bag along with tube, chain tool and patches. Each bit is long enough to reach fasteners without being awkward; the tool feels very solid and I haven’t had any rounding from use.

Essential and no-nonsense multi-tool
I carry this in my hydration pack for mountain biking and it’s become essential. It’s light, strong and covers everything I need except a chain breaker and spoke wrench, which I prefer separate. Handles all screws and bolts I’ve encountered on the trail.

Handy gift; easy for beginners to use
Bought as a present and it arrived sooner than expected. The recipient had no complaints and used it to assemble and tune brakes with remote guidance. The design is clean, easy to handle and offers good leverage even for small hands. Good for beginners or riders who carry separate chain/tire tools.
