Elikliv Autofocus 4K Digital Microscope EM4K-AF — 8" IPS Soldering Scope
Product description
Autofocus and TOF sensing: The EM4K-AF uses an AI-driven autofocus system coupled with a TOF (time-of-flight) distance sensor to detect subject distance and adjust focus within about two seconds. The continuous refocus logic is designed to keep moving subjects sharp with minimal manual tweaking.
High-resolution imaging: This model records 4K UHD video (3840×2160) and captures stills up to 52MP (noted image resolution 9600×5400). The built-in camera pairs with a 1280×800 IPS LCD so you see a clear, wide-angle preview on the device itself.
Display and lighting: The soldering/inspection scope includes an 8-inch IPS display with 178° viewing angles and vivid color reproduction. Integrated side lights and grid-line options help illuminate and align small targets like coins, circuit boards, and cards for accurate assessment.
Stand and working distance: The unit ships with a 10" vertical stand and a broad, stable base. The arm is extendable to provide up to roughly 6.3 inches of clearance, letting you capture whole coins or larger objects and enabling a wide range of working distances for soldering or inspection tasks.
Connectivity and multi-screen use: HDMI and USB outputs let you mirror the live feed to external monitors or capture devices. The tri-screen capability supports using the internal display, an HDTV and a computer simultaneously for demonstrations or collaborative inspections.
Controls and storage: A smart controller/remote is included for image capture, 4K or 1080p video recording, zoom and menu navigation. A memory card ships with the unit to store photos and recordings without needing to interact with a connected monitor.
Power and portability: The system has a built-in rechargeable battery for cordless operation, making it suitable for field checks or classroom sharing when a power outlet isn’t convenient.
Image tools and workflow: Freeze-frame and split-screen modes let you lock an image for examination or compare two samples side-by-side. These functions speed up grading, part inspection and teaching demonstrations.
Intended uses: Designed for coin collectors, electronics repair and SMD soldering, trading card graders, educators and hobbyists, the EM4K-AF aims to reduce manual focusing, increase throughput and simplify documentation of fine details.

Solid Optics, Quirky Controls and Mixed Aftercare
Initially I was pleased: clear images, readable instructions and a comfortable screen size. The menu navigation is unusual — left/right buttons sometimes move vertically in menus — which takes practice. The remote lacks up/down buttons, adding to the learning curve. After months of use I still like the hardware, but support and a later issue dropped my overall rating to three stars.

Very Satisfying Purchase
This is an exceptional little system. The images are crisp and it’s fairly straightforward to operate. To use it with my computer I had to disable my laptop’s webcam, but once done it functions perfectly. It’s portable and I’m eager to test battery life in the field.

Excellent for Grading Trading Cards
If you grade cards, this model is worth the extra for autofocus. It eliminates the warped, headache-inducing view I got from a cheap lens and lets me inspect edges and surfaces far faster. I use a microfiber on the base to slide cards under the lens and caught a scratch I’d missed at lower magnification. This saves time and prevents misgrading.

Simple to Assemble — Read the Manual for a Faster Start
It works straight from the box with only minor setup. I skipped the manual at first and ran into small issues: centering the camera ring is fixed by an adjustment sleeve on the main stand, the charging port is on the back of the LCD (not the base), and the shipped microSD card sits in the card slot — don’t overlook it. Once those are sorted, it’s an excellent, easy-to-use device.

Autofocus and Excellent Image Quality — Ideal for Coin Work
This scope transformed my coin inspection workflow. The autofocus locks quickly and the included remote makes captures and menu changes easy. The unit arrived with a microSD card already in place; assembly is just attaching the arm and body and plugging in the adapter to start viewing. Favorite things: rapid autofocus, roomy 10" stand for larger pieces, 52MP image clarity, minimal initial fiddling, and up to 2000× magnification for fine details.

Strong Zoom and Dependable Autofocus
I really like the zoom range and clarity. Display quality is very good and the autofocus hunts both ways to settle on a sharp image automatically. The long lens extension and clamp let you change working height for wider views. The remote is basic but effective; features like freeze, invert and split-screen are useful even if I don’t use them all. The menu becomes logical after a short learning period.

Students Are Enthralled — Great Teaching Tool
I bought this for my classroom and it’s a hit. The device shows excellent detail and the built-in screen colors appear richer than on my 13" laptop. Large room displays showed some color shifts, but adjusting settings should help. I haven’t connected student Chromebooks yet, but expect IT or a patch would resolve that. Battery-powered demos make it easy to move between stations.
