This tabletop sketch box easel is built to be both a working easel and a storage case. It supports canvas and boards up to 21" (53 cm) in height and has an adjustable holder that locks at any vertical or horizontal angle for painting or drawing. Side supports can be secured to keep your setup stable while you work.
Constructed of solid beech wood, the box features a hand‑rubbed oil finish, dovetail joinery, polished brass hardware, and a genuine leather carrying handle for a traditional look and durable feel. The interior includes removable, slide‑in dividers so you can arrange compartments to suit brushes, tubes, palettes, and other tools. The kit also comes with the needed fasteners — screws, nuts, and washers — to attach the easel bar to the box.
Its compact, portable design lets you use it indoors or outdoors. When extended it measures 10.5" W x 14.5" D x 26" H, and it folds down to 10.5" W x 14.5" D x 4.1" H for storage or transport. The whole unit weighs approximately 3.8 lbs, making it light enough to carry while still offering ample internal capacity for supplies.

Great for watercolor sketchbooks
Extremely lightweight and the flat ledge lets you work to the bottom edge of the page. The wingnut flange gives continuous angle adjustment from 0–90°. Only a couple divider layouts and no interior padding, so brushes can rattle; I added a fabric roll for protection. Overall happy and recommend it.

Could be a bit smaller
Very convenient — fits brushes and a palette so I can start quickly. F4 size won’t clamp, so in hindsight a slightly smaller case might have worked better for me.

Solid wooden sketch box
Very sturdy and well crafted. Stores all my watercolor gear and the easel bar adjusts for larger sheets. I attach paper to foam core or a cutting mat for a firm surface and it supports them well. The top also stores pads. Don’t rely on the handle to keep things in place. Mine arrived missing two wooden dividers; assembly requires the supplied screws, nuts and washers.

Solid and portable
Excellent quality and good portability with generous interior space. One downside: when closed and carried upright, items can shift between compartments. Otherwise perfect.
