Heavy-Duty Telescoping Microphone Stand with Extendable Boom Arm
Product description
This microphone stand ships as a single floor-standing unit that includes the universal USA standard 5/8" microphone adapter. Constructed from steel alloy with enlarged tubing for added strength, the stand is finished in glossy black. The built-in clutch lets you raise or lower the central column smoothly between 51.2" and 78.75" inches to suit vocalists seated or standing.
The telescoping boom arm extends up to 29.5" and features a T-bar clutch for secure angle and length locking. The boom mounts secure to the top of the upright column and may be used or removed depending on your setup. Anti-slip rubber feet cap the tripod legs to keep the base steady during performance.
Designed for studio and live environments, the stand folds down for transport and stores compactly though it does retain a substantial, durable weight of approximately 7.7 lbs. Folded dimensions are roughly 5.9" x 4.3" x 52.0". Adjustment points include height and T-bar positions so you can position microphones precisely for optimal pickup.
Pros
- Heavy-duty all-metal construction
- Wide height range and long telescoping boom
- Stable tripod base with rubber feet
Cons
- Boom knob can require careful tightening
- Doesn’t fold as compactly as lightweight travel stands
- Some units may show surface blemishes from shipping
VerdictA robust, all-metal floor mic stand that delivers reliable support and plenty of reach. Durable tubing and a locking T-clutch provide secure positioning, while the extendable boom and adjustable tripod base make it versatile for studio and live applications. A solid choice for users needing stability and height.

Heavy-duty build as advertised
Well constructed, solid and heavy-duty. Exactly what I needed for reliable mic support.

Strong overall, but boom latch could improve
The stand feels heavy and well made, but the boom adjustment knob is a weak spot. If not tightened just right the boom can rotate. Over-tightening may cause damage, so treat that knob with care. Despite that, it remains a sturdy, useful stand.

Well made but arrived with cosmetic damage
Sturdy, heavy-duty construction matches pro gear I’ve used before. Legs are adjustable and the boom can be removed. My box had holes and the boom arm had two scuffs that took paint off. I needed the stand quickly so I kept it, but the finish damage was disappointing.

Very stable stand
This stand is much stronger than other options I’ve tried. It has enough weight to stay steady even with the arm extended. Well-built and dependable—would buy again.

Rugged and versatile—handles heavy mics
Built mostly of metal and can support a heavy mic even with the boom horizontal. The fulcrum is metal and holds well if balanced; adding counterweight helps with very heavy setups. Adapter fit was perfect for my USB mic. A bit heavy, but that weight helps stability and it’s still manageable to carry.

Great value for overhead mics
I bought two for overheads and they handled condenser mics without worry. Plenty of reach when fully extended plus the boom gave the height I needed. Adjustment points are easy to use and hold well. Collars are plastic but seem durable enough for regular use. Folds and packs up without trouble—good quality for the price.

Solid, dependable mic stand
Very sturdy unit that reaches plenty high for taller vocalists. Powder-coated steel feels durable and the rubber foot caps prevent slipping. The upright can be locked in several positions and there’s a metal rod to keep it from sliding down. It isn’t as compact as some folding stands, but those are usually flimsier. Overall extremely reliable.

Sturdy and long-lasting
Previous stands failed at adjustment points; this one uses metal hardware and feels like it will last. Worth the extra investment.

Perfect for tutorial videos
Needed a boom stand that exceeded 75" and this one fit the bill. Very solid and well built with multiple adjustments to position the mic precisely. I do wish there was a simple cable clip on the boom, but that’s a small gripe compared to the robust construction and ease of use.

Stable with a telescoping base
Unlike many tripod stands, this one uses a telescoping base for extra stability. Pay attention to leg placement when the boom is fully extended—align a leg under the boom to prevent tipping. Works well for keyboard and guitar/vocal setups. Good overall quality.
