Magnetic Travel Clothesline — Retractable 12 ft Drying Line for Travel
Product description
Cruise and cabin friendly: This retractable clothesline uses premium rubber-coated magnets that meet common cruise safety guidelines. The coating prevents scratches on painted metal walls and ceilings while providing a secure mount for hanging laundry.
Expandable length: The line tucks away small for packing and extends from roughly 6 feet up to about 10–12 feet to span a cabin, shower, balcony (where allowed), or cramped hotel bathroom. It’s intended to hold swimsuits, towels, hand-washed clothing, and other lightweight items away from damp surfaces so they dry more quickly and keep your space tidy.
Anti-bunching design: The cord features 13 sliding positioning beads that lock the 12 anti-slip clips where you set them. That spacing keeps items separated to increase airflow, which helps fabrics dry faster even in humid bathrooms.
Practical travel kit: The set ships with a waterproof storage bag for neat packing and protection. The rope, magnets, and clips are constructed for travel use and take up very little space in luggage. It’s ideal for cruise cabins, RVs, hostels, hotels, and dorms where temporary drying space is needed.
When to use it: Balcony drying can be restricted and onboard laundry services are often expensive. This clothesline gives you vertical drying capability inside your room to avoid damp counters, reduce odors, and handle small loads between wash-and-wear cycles.
Pros
- Rubber-coated magnets protect surfaces
- Bead system locks 12 clips in place
- Compact kit includes waterproof storage bag
Cons
- Not designed for heavy or bulky laundry
- Requires a metal mounting surface
- Clips may struggle with very thick fabrics
VerdictA compact, travel-focused drying solution that creates instant hanging space in metal cabins and other metal surfaces. The rubber-coated magnets protect finishes, the bead-and-clip system prevents bunching, and the lightweight kit fits neatly in carry-on luggage. Not meant for heavy loads, but excellent for swimwear, delicates, and small laundry items while on the go.

Did the job on our cruise
Used aboard a Norwegian ship to dry swimsuits and it worked well. Held clips in place and freed up counter space.

Handy for travel, not heavy-duty
Not meant for big, heavy items, but excellent for travel needs. Magnets make it cruise-friendly, and it stores in a small bag. Materials feel solid and setup is simple.

Simple and portable clothesline
Super portable and easy to set up anywhere metal is available. We hung it in our cabin to air out swimwear—stretched nicely and packed away small. Would also be handy for camping.

Stayed put on the veranda
Strong magnetic hold—kept everything secure on the Celebrity Edge veranda. Not flimsy and easy to use. Good find for the trip.

Great on metal cabin walls
Clung easily to the metal wall and held more than expected—pants, shorts, hats. We avoided dripping items, but for dry garments it was very useful and packed neatly.

Perfect for small drying jobs
Worked well for sink laundry and wet suits after the beach. Packs light, stretches enough for our needs, and the line strength was fine for small loads.
