Silicone Slow Feeder Dog Bowl Insert with Suction Cups
Product description
What’s included: a single soft silicone slow-feeder insert sized to fit a variety of pet bowls.
Construction and design: made from high-quality, pliable silicone that won’t scratch a pet’s nose or damage bowl interiors. The insert features a maze-style pattern and raised ridges that force dogs to take smaller, more deliberate mouthfuls. Multiple suction cups on the underside help anchor the insert, preventing it from sliding or tipping during mealtime.
Compatibility and sizes: designed to nest inside many bowl types and sizes, including glass, plastic, ceramic, and stainless-steel bowls, as well as elevated feeding stands. Several size options accommodate small, medium, and large dogs; note that the insert is relatively deep compared with some other designs, which can affect access for short-tongued or very young pups.
Use and care: suitable for dry kibble, wet food, and treats. The smooth, non-stick surface wipes clean easily, and the insert is dishwasher-safe for hands-off sanitation. After use, simply lift the insert out of the bowl for rinsing or running through the dishwasher.
Pros
- Soft, non-abrasive silicone protects pet’s nose
- Strong suction keeps insert stable during meals
- Fits many bowl materials and elevated stands
Cons
- Deeper channels can be hard for short-muzzled dogs
- May require choosing a larger size for some bowls
- Some dogs learn to work around the pattern quickly
VerdictThis flexible silicone insert turns ordinary bowls into slow-feeders, discouraging rapid gulping and helping reduce digestive issues. It’s soft on noses, secures with multiple suction cups, and works in both flat and raised bowls. The deeper channels and pronounced ridges do a good job of spacing bites, though very short-muzzled dogs may have more trouble. Overall, it’s an effective, easy-to-clean

Perfect for raised stands
This actually slowed him and adheres well to the steel bowls in my raised stand. It won’t get shoved around while they eat, and solved my need for both elevation and a slow-feeder in one.

Huge improvement — works great!
Cut my Great Dane mix’s eating time dramatically — she used to finish in under two minutes. It takes smaller bites now and the insert held over two cups of kibble without overflowing. Fits very large bowls well.

More measured bites
Great value and quality. It performed exactly as described — slowed eating and felt sturdy. Happy with how it functions and the construction.

Does exactly what it should
Holds firmly in place and noticeably slowed eating. Sits snugly in the bowl and the suction cups work very well. Easy to clean and effective.

High-quality, good fit for larger bowls
Feels well made and substantial. The large version sat nicely in my 8" bowl and the many suction cups gripped even a textured surface. Ridge pattern encourages slower bites. It’s noticeably deeper than other inserts I’ve tried, so very short-tongued dogs might struggle. Colors are nice; cleaning looks straightforward and the silicone seems thick and durable.

Depth can make dry kibble tricky
The insert’s channels are a bit deep so my dog initially had trouble getting all the dry pieces out. She adapted, but it didn’t slow her as much as I hoped. Would try a shallower design next time.

Stopped the crazed scoffing
My Lab who used to inhale food slowed way down. It stuck firmly in their elevated stainless bowl and was easy to wash. Suction is strong and it’s held up well. Bought a spare so I always have one clean. Highly recommend for dogs that bolt their meals.

Helps, but walls may be too tall
Bought for a 12-week-old lab; it slowed her down but she struggles to reach some kibble because the inner walls are pretty tall. It still works — I let her eat for a set time then shake some pieces out for her.

Size labels don’t match UK bowls
Sizing was off for me — the medium felt like a small and I needed to buy a larger size to fit what I consider a medium bowl. Be cautious when picking sizes for non-US bowls.
