Wall-Mounted 2-in-1 Metal Hay & Grain Feeder — Livestock Rack
Product description
Constructed from galvanized sheet steel and finished with a high-temperature coating, this feeder is built to withstand barn conditions. It is assembled with 304 stainless steel screws for corrosion resistance.
The unit arrives with an adjustable double L-shaped hanging system and mounting hardware so it can be fitted to a variety of supports — 2x4s, round or square tubing, or barn posts. The hook spacing can be altered to suit the installation site and keep the rack stable.
A full-width bottom trough is formed to sit higher than the feeding grid, increasing holding capacity and catching loose hay so it doesn’t spill onto the ground. The feeding face uses a 4 x 4 inch mesh pattern that limits large hay bundles from falling through while allowing animals easy access to pull strands through.
Designed for hanging installation, the feeder is suitable for goats, sheep, horses and other livestock in pens, runs or stalls. Its raised tray helps prevent feed from soaking up ground moisture and reduces bedding contamination.
Pros
- Galvanized steel with stainless fasteners resists rust
- Adjustable double L-hooks fit various posts and rails
- Raised trough and 4x4" mesh reduce hay waste
Cons
- Edges may be sharp without added protection
- Not ideal for very small kids that climb into the tray
- Size may be small for large herds or full-size horses
VerdictA robust, no-frills wall-mounted feeder built to keep bedding and moisture out of feed while cutting waste. Galvanized construction and stainless fasteners give it good longevity; the adjustable L-hooks make placement flexible around posts and rails. Ideal for small herds or individual stalls where you want hay elevated and contained.

Solid, easy to mount
Simple to assemble and very sturdy. The adjustable brackets fit 2x4s or round and square tubing. If you use a 10mm ratchet it speeds up tightening compared to the supplied Allen wrench.

Durable but not exactly as ordered
Heavy-duty and has held up to constant use from my Nubians. It was easy to put together. I ordered an uncoated model but received a coated one — still performs well, so I rated it four stars.

Cut down on waste
Replaced a homemade feeder and this reduced hay loss significantly. The catch tray saved money and I even added a thin hinged cover to stop chickens from nesting in it.

Keeps hay clean for horses
Bought a pair for my barn; they slide between the posts and hold steady. I worried about sharp edges and added rubber corners, which didn’t stick well, but so far no cuts have occurred.

Works great for my herd
Much easier than a net — loading hay is quick and it catches loose bits so less falls to the floor. Assembly was straightforward and both my goats and I are happy with it.

Too small for large equines
Well built but not intended for horses — best for small livestock.

Sturdy, but watch small kids
Very stable construction. Our tiny goats like to climb and lie in the tray, so I wouldn’t recommend it for very small kids that might get inside.
