Yama Glass 5-Cup Stovetop Siphon Coffee Brewer — 5-Cup Vacuum Pot
Product description
This is a 5-cup stovetop siphon coffee brewer with roughly a 20-ounce capacity designed for brewing and serving multiple cups in one cycle. The set is constructed from heat-resistant borosilicate glass that tolerates high temperatures without reacting with the coffee, preserving pure flavor. The unit is hand-blown for optical clarity and visual appeal.
Included with the brewer is a reusable cloth filter and a measuring spoon to help establish the correct coffee-to-water ratio. A wire diffuser (grid) is provided for use on electric coil ranges; this diffuser is optional when using a gas flame. The top piece converts into a lid/stand to rest the upper chamber while serving.
Operation calls for medium to medium-high heat on most stoves. Fill the lower carafe to the 5-mark with hot water, place the cloth-covered filter into the upper chamber with the chain hanging through the siphon tube, and add the measured coffee to the top. As the water heats (about four minutes on many ranges), vapor pressure pushes the water up into the upper chamber; allow the grounds to steep for approximately two minutes, then remove the heat source and let brewed coffee return to the lower carafe by siphon.
The brewer is rated microwave- and dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning, though the cloth filter should be washed and stored damp in the refrigerator between uses for longevity. Replacement parts such as filters and seals are available separately. This model works on both gas and electric stovetops; use gentle, controlled heat for the best extraction and to protect glass longevity.
Pros
- Clean, sediment-free cup thanks to cloth filtration
- Durable, heat-resistant borosilicate glass construction
- Complete kit: filter, spoon, and electric stove diffuser included
Cons
- Learning curve to dial in grind and heat
- Upper chamber and tube can be tricky to clean
- Glass is delicate and should be handled carefully
VerdictWell-built and visually impressive, this Yama siphon produces a clean, aromatic brew with immersion-style clarity. It suits home enthusiasts who enjoy hands-on preparation and dramatic presentation; expect a little practice to dial in grind and heat but excellent results once you do.

High-quality components
Materials and finish are impressive — solid glass, well-made seal, and useful accessories. The vacuum effect works exactly as intended. I'm still fine-tuning my technique but already getting great coffee.

Makes impressive coffee on a ceramic cooktop
Delivers great coffee without needing a separate burner. Prefer the convenience of using the stove and find it very practical for everyday brewing on a ceramic range.

Arrived well packed and performs beautifully
It came safely packaged and worked perfectly on first run after a rinse. The convertible lid/stand is handy, though I wish it were heavier. First brew tasted full and satisfying; be cautious cleaning the top chamber.

Excellent flavor and reliable build
I own several brewing devices and this siphon is my favorite. I bought extra units as backups and never had seals fail or glass crack. My tips: use cold filtered water, medium-fine grind, and low heat for a longer, richer extraction.

Works well on gas stoves
I bought this because I needed a model that works on gas. It performs nicely with daily use. The only downside is cost compared to some other listings I saw, but the brewer itself is solid and effective.

Makes very clean coffee
Worked exactly as shown — produced coffee cleaner than my old percolator. Clean-up is easy: grounds dry and rinse away, and the cloth filter prevents sediment. The glass feels slightly thin, so handle with care.

Best value for consistent coffee
After months of use, this delivers dependable results after a little stove calibration. You can pay more for fancier models, but this one gives nearly the same quality. Aim for about three minutes total contact time for ideal extraction.

Great results but takes practice
I switched to this to escape inconsistent pour-over results. After upgrading my grinder and experimenting with grind and heat, the siphon consistently produces superior cups. Expect a learning curve, but it's worth the effort.

Siphon brewer transformed my mornings
Coffee is central to my routine and after trying many methods I was skeptical of siphon brewing. This unit won me over: it produces a bright, nuanced cup and the theatrical process makes mornings more enjoyable. I roast my own beans and the freshness shows with this brewer.

Switched from drip to siphon and pleased
My drip machine was failing, so I explored alternatives and landed on this siphon. It offers far better control and a cleaner cup than my percolator attempts. I grind my own beans and enjoy the results every day.
