Anker 621 MagGo 5,000mAh Magnetic Portable Power Bank
Product description
Smaller, smarter battery construction: Anker’s MiniCell engineering reduces internal components and keeps the charging performance steady while shrinking size and mass. That pared-down design produces a compact 5,000mAh battery pack that’s easier to carry than many conventional power banks.
Pocket-friendly form: The pack is thin enough to sit on the back of a phone and still slip into a pocket, purse, or small bag. Its outer housing is a durable, lightweight plastic that’s built for everyday handling and transport.
Magnetic attachment: Powerful built-in magnets let the battery lock to the compatible iPhone back securely so you can text, take pictures, or hold the phone one-handed while it charges. The slim profile is designed to avoid interfering with camera bumps or most phone cases.
Simple alignment, expected heat: The magnetic connection aligns the wireless coils automatically to reduce misalignment. Slight heating during charging is a normal consequence of energy conversion inside the pack and the phone — users should expect a noticeable warm sensation under moderate-to-heavy charge cycles.
What’s in the box: Anker 621 MagGo magnetic battery (5,000mAh), a 23.6 in (60 cm) USB‑C to USB‑C cable, a quick-start guide, and a 24‑month warranty with Anker customer support. The battery includes LED indicators and an on/off control and can be recharged via its USB‑C port or placed on a compatible wireless charger when not attached to a phone.
Compatibility and usage: Designed for magnetic wireless charging with iPhone models that support magnetic alignment (iPhone 12 series and later), it supplies cordless power while attached and can be recharged separately. Output is tuned for convenient top-ups rather than full overnight refuels of large-capacity phones.

VerdictThis pocket-friendly magnetic battery is ideal for quick boosts and cord-free use. Its MiniCell design keeps size and weight low while still offering 5,000mAh capacity and a snug magnetic attachment for iPhone models that support magnetic charging. It won’t replace a full-capacity bank for heavy all-day use, and it can get noticeably warm under load, but for commuters and casual users who want a c

Charges fine but gets quite warm
It charges my phone as described, but the pack itself runs hot while doing so and its internal battery drains quickly. Useful in a pinch at home, but I wouldn’t want it attached on a plane.

Super convenient and compact
Perfect for frequent phone users. It snaps on magnetically so I can keep using my phone while topping up, and it’s light enough to toss in a bag. Handy for short errands or when battery gets low.

Worked well, then failed — great support
Used occasionally over a year and liked how thin it was. After about 25 uses it stopped accepting charge for no reason. I contacted support and they replaced it quickly under the warranty. Customer service was excellent.

Handy for long days out
My first magnetic charger and the magnetic strength is solid — I haven’t had it fall off in normal use, and I don’t use a case. It does warm on my iPhone 15, likely from phone activity while charging. It won’t fully top large drains but it reliably keeps the phone alive on long outings.

Great color and versatile
I love the color. I can even use it to wirelessly charge small accessories without it slipping off — the magnets keep things steady.

Compact, handy, effective (translated)
New quick‑charge style for on‑the‑go topping. Easy to use with iPhone 12 Pro — LEDs show status, it has an on/off and USB‑C port. With 5,000mAh and around 7.5W output it can take an iPhone 12 Pro from empty to roughly 80–85% under stress; larger phones with bigger batteries charge more slowly and will see lower final percentages.

Bought for a festival — disappointing outcome
I picked this over a charging case and bought a magnetic case to use it. It seemed promising and cheaper than alternatives, so I took it to a four‑day music festival. In practice it didn’t meet my needs for extended heavy use and felt like a compromise compared with higher‑capacity options.

How the battery behaves — practical notes
When the battery is magnetically attached and turned on it wirelessly powers the phone; power flows from the pack to the phone only. The battery must be recharged separately (USB‑C or a wireless pad). You can plug USB‑C into the pack while it’s attached and charging the phone, and it will accept charge that way.

Compact and cable-free, but it runs hot
This was my first magnetic battery. The magnet locks on tightly and it sits fine over camera bumps even with a case. It’s slim and easy to carry without extra cords. I charged it fully via USB‑C and used it intermittently on an iPhone 14 Pro; it worked but started getting uncomfortably warm after a short top-up, so I cut usage short because of the heat.

Replaced a flaky unit — much better hold
I had a different battery that would shut off randomly. I use a heavy case with a metal plate, so I wasn’t sure how this would perform. The Anker stuck to my case right away and began charging immediately. It does warm up like others, but it stayed active and gripped much better than my previous unit.

Premium feel and very light
Feels premium and is one of the slimmest power banks I’ve tried. The material quality is nice and the magnet holds the phone securely.
