UGREEN Cat 8 Ethernet Cable — 3 ft Braided High-Speed LAN Cable
Product description
What’s included: one UGREEN Cat 8 Ethernet cable in the selected length (this listing is for the 3 ft option). The cable arrives ready to plug in — no adapters required.
High-speed performance: Engineered for up to 40 Gbps data transfer and a 2000 MHz bandwidth ceiling, this Cat 8 cord is intended for bandwidth-hungry tasks like competitive gaming, 4K/8K streaming and large file transfers. Expect improved upload and download responsiveness and higher sustained throughput compared with lower-category cables.
Shielding and conductors: Each of the four twisted pairs is foil-shielded (F/FTP), and the internal conductors are high-purity copper for efficient signal transmission. Gold-plated RJ45 plugs improve corrosion resistance and contact quality, while the shielding reduces noise, crosstalk and external interference for a steadier connection.
Build and durability: The cable is encased in a tightly woven cotton-braided jacket that increases abrasion resistance and flexibility. The assembly has been tested to withstand heavy routing and at least 10,000 bends without failure, making it suitable for long-term installations behind desks, entertainment centers or patch panels.
Power over Ethernet and compatibility: Most lengths of this Cat 8 cable support PoE power delivery, so you can power compatible security cameras or access points without a separate power line (note: 65 ft length is excluded from PoE support). The RJ45 termination ensures compatibility with PCs, laptops, modems, routers, gaming consoles and network switches, and it’s backward compatible with Cat7, Cat6e, Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5 devices.
Usage: Plug-and-play RJ45 connectors make setup simple — just connect between your device and network equipment. The flexible braided jacket helps route the cable cleanly while maintaining connector security and signal integrity.
Pros
- Extremely high bandwidth and transfer rates (40 Gbps / 2000 MHz)
- Robust F/FTP shielding with pure copper conductors
- Durable, flexible braided jacket rated for frequent bending
Cons
- PoE support excluded on the 65 ft variant
- Thicker build can be less discreet in tight wiring runs
- Only available plug style is standard RJ45
VerdictThis UGREEN Cat 8 cable is built for heavy-duty, low-latency wired networking. It delivers up to 40 Gbps and 2000 MHz bandwidth, uses F/FTP shielded pairs and pure copper conductors, and has gold-plated RJ45 plugs for reliable contact — all wrapped in a tough braided jacket tested for repeated bending. It’s plug-and-play with PCs, consoles and routers, and supports Power over Ethernet on most leng

Fast and keeps ping low
Stable and quick. Gaming latency stayed low and steady. Remember, it won’t fix ISP issues, but it will ensure your local wired link isn’t the bottleneck.

Powerful, stable connection for complex setups
A beast of a cable for building reliable networks — perfect for demanding gaming rigs and mixed hardware. The 40 Gbps capacity and wide bandwidth mean downloads, updates and scripts transfer instantly with no hiccups. The braided jacket and solid plugs survive repeated routing behind my desk, and the shielding eliminates crosstalk. PoE support is a useful bonus for powering compatible cameras without a separate supply.

Dependable and well made
UGREEN delivers another solid cable. It’s been rock-steady for months with no dropouts. The braid feels tougher than standard cables, with good thickness but not rigid. Looks premium and fits every device without fuss. Available lengths make it easy to use for PCs, consoles and routers. Overall excellent value for a long-lasting cable.

Worth upgrading for fiber connections
Upgraded from Cat 7 after getting fiber and saw a noticeable speed increase—over 20% in my case. The cable feels premium: the braid is durable and the connectors are sturdy. Whether the gain was from the new cable or replacing an older lead, the overall impression is excellent and it feels future-proof.

Exactly what I needed for high-speed networking
Searched for a fast, flexible cable to link my PC to a high-speed office router. Plugs fit perfectly and never loosen. The braided cover seems built to last, and the length had enough slack to avoid tension. Setup was immediate and I now get the higher speeds my router provides.
