25W BNC Dummy Load — 50Ω RF Terminator (DC–3 GHz)
Product description
Package contents: one 25 watt BNC 50Ω dummy load.
This BNC-style 50 ohm terminator is rated for 25 watts and spans DC to 3 GHz, providing a stable RF termination for antenna checks, transmitter tuning and calibration tasks. The unit is specified to maintain a low reflection coefficient with a VSWR of ≤1.20 across its stated range.
Fitted with a standard BNC male connector, the load plugs directly into common test equipment and transceivers, including signal generators, SWR meters and many ham radio setups compatible with Q9-type RF connections. Its design makes it suitable for both field troubleshooting and lab measurements.
Construction uses a threaded resistive element seated in an aluminum heatsink to dissipate heat efficiently. The compact, portable housing is clearly marked with frequency and power ratings. One piece per order — a practical accessory for radio amateurs, technicians and RF engineers.
Pros
- Low VSWR up to 3 GHz
- Standard BNC male connector for wide compatibility
- Compact, durable aluminum heatsink construction
Cons
- Heatsink will become hot under continuous 25W
- Limited to 25W maximum power
- Only BNC interface (no other connector types)
VerdictA dependable 25W, 50Ω BNC terminator that delivers low VSWR across DC–3 GHz for accurate bench and field measurements. The standard BNC male plug mates with common test gear and transceivers. Built with a threaded resistive element in an aluminum heatsink; it’s compact and portable, but sustained full-power tests will warm the heatsink. Good value for hobbyists and technicians.

Solid 25W RF Load
Well-built 25W load with consistently low VSWR. The BNC connection is secure and easy to use. Gives plenty of headroom for a 10W radio; simple to operate and good value.

Flat Response Across HF–UHF
Measures very close to 50Ω and stays flat across HF/VHF/UHF on my sweep. The BNC fits firmly and the resistive element is mounted in an aluminum heatsink with clear markings. Heatsink gets hot under sustained 25W, so monitor duty cycle. An affordable, handy testing tool.
