Craftsman 262-Piece Mechanic Tool Set — 3-Drawer VERSASTACK Kit
Product description
This 262-piece mechanic toolkit brings together a wide selection of hand tools and storage in a single package. The set includes 118 sockets across SAE and metric sizes, three drive ratchets (1/4", 3/8" and 1/2"), 24 combination wrenches, 44 hex keys, 66 specialty bits, and seven accessories for common automotive and household tasks. All pieces are arranged inside a three-drawer storage cabinet designed for workshop use.
The ratchets are engineered with a low-profile head — up to 25% thinner than standard designs — and use a 90-tooth mechanism that gives a 5° arc swing for tight-space access. Socket drives include 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" sizes to cover light to heavy-duty applications. Sockets and wrenches are finished in polished chrome for corrosion resistance and easier cleaning after use.
The molded carrying case is constructed from durable polypropylene polymer and features a spring-loaded dial that lets you lock or release drawers with one hand. Drawers are equipped with a stop system and can be lifted out and nested on top of the cabinet for temporary layout while you work. The cabinet is compatible with the VERSASTACK modular platform, allowing the unit to be stacked and combined with other modules to create a customized storage solution.
A full lifetime warranty backs the tools and cabinet, offering repair or replacement if defects occur. The set is intended for automotive, motorcycle and general mechanical tasks and is sized for both shop bench storage and transport to job sites.

My go-to for most jobs, portable and reliable
I still use my full-size roll cabinets, but this set has become my primary travel kit. The feel is solid, wrenches handle well without sharp edges, and the layout keeps almost everything in one place. I’ve relied on it across a few classic cars and a modern truck — it meets most common needs for a backyard mechanic.

Handy kit for weekend car and bike work
I use this for truck and motorcycle maintenance on weekends. The three-drawer case keeps SAE and metric sockets, wrenches and spark plug sockets organized. The 90-tooth ratchet is great in tight engine bays and the chrome finish has held up through oil and grime. Drawers lock securely for transport.

Solid sockets and smooth ratchets
Good-quality sockets and a tidy carry case. Ratchets operate smoothly and reach into tighter spots than older designs. The lifetime warranty provides peace of mind. A strong starter kit for anyone who maintains their own equipment.

Lightweight toolbox that covers most needs
I like the light weight and the selection nearly covers my work. If one Allen key were swapped for a star bit it would be even more useful for my mechanic tasks.

Improved finish, small size gap in wrenches
Quality and finish felt much better than older sets I owned. Ratchets roll nicely. My main gripe is the wrench range stops at 14mm instead of going higher — an odd omission for a 250+ piece kit. Still, there’s room in the box to add a few larger sizes.
