2-Pack Half-Inch x 30' Double-Braided Nylon Dock Lines with 12-Inch Splice
Product description
Two 1/2" x 30' dock lines supplied as a set for standard mooring and docking needs. Each rope measures a half-inch in diameter and thirty feet in length, suitable for a variety of slip layouts and cleat placements.
Constructed from high-strength nylon in a double-braided format, these lines are engineered to absorb shock loads and resist wear from chafe and everyday use. The material delivers a balance of strength and manageable flexibility so lines are easy to handle but still robust.
Each line features a 12-inch hand-spliced eye for quick attachment to cleats or pilings. The splice is reinforced with whipping and sewn wraps at both the throat and bitter end to extend service life under load.
All cut ends are heat-treated to prevent unraveling and extend longevity, keeping the rope tidy and safe to handle. The low-stretch profile helps maintain consistent boat positioning while offering enough give to cushion movement.
These 1/2" lines are commonly used on boats roughly in the 20 to 35 foot range, including small sailboats, pontoons, cuddy cabins, express cruisers and fishing boats. They perform well in lakes, rivers and marina environments and stand up to variable weather conditions.
Pros
- Durable double-braided nylon construction
- 12" hand-spliced eye with reinforced throat
- Low-stretch, shock-absorbing performance
Cons
- Heavier feel compared with some synthetic alternatives
- Only two lines included per pack
- Dark color may show fading over long-term UV exposure
VerdictWell-built dock lines that balance strength and handling. The double-braided nylon construction soaks up shock loads and resists abrasion, while the hand-spliced 12" eyelets and heat-treated ends limit fray. A solid choice for small to mid-size vessels needing dependable, low-stretch mooring lines.

Sturdy, Easy to Handle
Exactly the kind of lines I wanted. The half-inch diameter feels substantial but not rigid, so tying and adjusting at the dock is simple. The spliced eye is a good size and speeds up securing the boat. The ropes give a bit under load yet feel tough — overall very satisfied and would buy again.
