Product description
These BELVA BBMS8B speakers are an 8-inch, 2-way coaxial pair built for marine and powersports use. The package includes two speakers, protective speaker grilles and stainless-steel mounting hardware for a complete top-mount installation.
The woofer uses a molded polypropylene cone and a resilient rubber surround to resist moisture and maintain cone integrity in harsh conditions. The structural basket is an injection-molded, rust-resistant polymer designed to withstand salt and sun exposure.
High frequencies are handled by a 1" PEI balanced dome tweeter, while an oversized 1.2" high-temperature aluminum voice coil helps with heat dissipation and power handling. The drivers provide a broad frequency range from about 55 Hz up to 20 kHz and a sensitivity around 90 dB.
Power specifications rate the pair at up to 500 W peak (250 W per speaker) with a 250 W pair RMS rating (125 W per speaker RMS), giving plenty of headroom for outdoor listening when paired with an appropriate amplifier.
These speakers carry an IP66 level of protection against water and dust ingress, making them suitable for exposure to spray and rain. Dimensions support a 3.54" top-mount depth and a 6.89" cutout diameter, so planning for fitment is straightforward.
Installation is simplified with supplied stainless fasteners and pre-drilled mounting holes; grilles snap on for added protection and a finished appearance once installed on boats, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs or other open-air vehicles.

Arrived defective
One unit sounded like a bad voice coil right out of the box. Couldn’t get proper sound from that speaker.

Paired with a decent amplifier and they sound clean and full. So far so good.

Solid sound, minor connector issue
Great audio overall but one spade terminal was tiny. I secured it with silicone after wiring and it’s held up. Distortion appears at high volume on a cheap amp; planning to add a sub and a proper amplifier.

Was doubtful, now impressed
I swapped out a tiny 4" shower speaker for these in a wet enclosure. After hunting for affordable marine options, I took a chance on these. Installed them and powered with a small amp—much fuller sound and surprised by the bass response for their size.

Very loud and rugged—until abused
Used heavily with multiple speakers and small marine amps; a marine battery ran them for hours. They screamed and handled salt exposure, but the screws and sealing hardware were the first things to fail.
