FosPower Emergency Weather Radio — Solar + Hand-Crank Power Bank

Product description

This FosPower emergency radio includes an integrated 7400mWh (2000mAh) power bank that can supply emergency charge to small tablets and smartphones, helping you stay connected during outages.

Three methods replenish the unit: a manual hand crank, a built-in solar panel, and conventional AAA batteries for immediate, dependable backup. The crank and solar array can generate enough energy to power the radio, lights, and SOS alarm when other sources are unavailable.

For illumination it offers two output modes: a 1-watt forward flashlight for focused light, and a four-LED reading lamp for broader, low-level lighting. Both are designed to keep you and others visible and safe in low-light situations.

The receiver covers NOAA weather alerts plus AM and FM broadcasts so you can receive up-to-the-minute emergency weather statements and local news without internet or mains power.

Housed in a compact, pocketable plastic body intended for portability, the unit is meant to be kept in a vehicle, emergency kit, or bedside drawer. A Limited Lifetime Warranty is provided — consult the manufacturer’s site for full warranty details and support information.

Pros

  • Multiple charging options: crank, solar, or AAA batteries
  • Built-in 7400mWh (2000mAh) power bank for phones
  • NOAA/AM/FM reception plus SOS alarm and dual lights

Cons

  • Tuning can be sensitive in some locations
  • Knobs and controls may be small for users with limited dexterity
  • Power bank capacity is modest for heavy use

VerdictA compact, multi-function emergency companion that combines NOAA weather reception with multiple charging options and lighting. Its 7400mWh (2000mAh) battery can top up phones in a pinch, while the hand crank and solar panel keep the unit usable without mains power. Ideal for households, cars, and travel packs, it trades heavy-duty endurance for portability and convenience.

Reviews

  1. khawkes 3/5

    Couldn’t receive the weather band

Liked the size and features, but the FM tuning is very sensitive and I couldn’t get the weather band to lock in despite many attempts. Returning because I need reliable weather reception.

  2. Inojude 5/5

    Did exactly what it should

Five stars — cranked and tuned it straight away to the weather channel. Very satisfied.

  3. Sanne 5/5

    Looks robust

We hope not to need it often, but it appears very solid and well constructed.

  4. Dk 5/5

    Handy during outages

Useful gadget to have when the power goes out; dependable and simple to use.

  5. Kindle Customer 4/5

Knobs could be larger for seniors

Works fine overall; volume is clear but the control knobs are a bit small for an elderly user to operate comfortably.

  6. Laylah 5/5

Small unit with lots of features

Tiny but powerful — AM/FM/NOAA reception, flashlight, siren and it doubles as a power bank. Runs on batteries or can be charged beforehand. Fits easily in a bag and gives real peace of mind for family safety.

  7. MrsPiddles 5/5

    A must-have for every household

Don’t hesitate to get one. Ran almost nonstop on a camping trip and picked up stations my car radio missed. Kept me updated during a severe storm — every home should have one.

  8. adriana 5/5

Proved useful in a real emergency

We used it during a derecho with no phone service. It provided light, alerts, and I charged my phone after my other power bank died. Tuned NOAA fine once I located the right station. Quick to recharge and very practical.

  9. Mia 5/5

    Dependable for storm-prone homes

Performs as expected. Easy to set up, charges by solar or batteries. The light is bright and the unit seems durable. Reception depends on local signal strength and antenna position, but it has been my go-to when internet and power were down.

  10. Peter 5/5

    Solid build and effective SOS

Product as described. Better quality than expected, good audio and the SOS function works well.

  11. åziz 5/5

    Excellent value and performance

Arrived quickly and exceeded expectations for the price. Rechargeable, battery-operated, solar and hand-crank options are useful. Good material feel, effective light and radio, and a sturdy wrist strap. Overall a great buy for performance vs. cost.

  12. Carlos 5/5

    Great emergency companion

Well made and compact — excellent for travel or keeping in the car. Good quality for emergencies.

  13. Peter Quin-Conroy 5/5

    Good feature set and build

Appreciate the multiple charging methods and replaceable AAA batteries. Radio and light function well; crank feels sturdy. Hoping it performs when needed.
